Build Anticipation – Build Sales

Anticipation is a wonderful thing, in life and in business. Anticipation means to look forward to, to eagerly await, to expect, to long for even. And, this is exactly what you want your customers to be feeling as you launch your product or service! You build anticipation through the art of pre-selling, the work you do before you release and sell your product or service. It is what convinces your prospects that your offer has immense benefit and that they cannot afford to live one day more without purchasing it, whatever “it” might be!

Before you sell your product or service to your customer, you need to sell yourself first. You need to have the mindset of looking for ways to solve problems and meet the needs of your potential buyers as opposed to the mindset of seeing them as punters whose money you want. Understand how you can add value to them, how you can help them, and the sales will take care of themselves, guaranteed. As the saying goes, “Increase the value of your contribution and you will increase your compensation.” By doing this, you will make yourself stand head and shoulders above the competition.

In the 21st Century we are all far more sophisticated buyers and you need to remember this in your business. Consider, for example, the process you yourself go through when making a buying decision. Remember the Golden Rule of selling, “sell unto others as you would like to be sold to yourself.” For example, if you would like somebody to take the time to understand exactly what you need and how they could help you, rather than launching straight into the features and benefits of their great product, then you do the same!

Building up anticipation takes skill and practice but it is well worth investing the time to learn to do it well. If I told you that I had gone from BROKE to financially independent in a few short months by building a passive income using a home based internet business system that anyone could use, but did not tell you how, would you want to know more about how I did it? Of course you would! You would most likely want to know how you could do the same, because you can!

You would be anxiously looking all over my website trying to find more information on my internet business system.

There are other things you can do to increase anticipation besides just revealing tantalising morsels of your whole offering. Be creative. Look at how you can add value to your prospects by giving them something useful in bite size pieces. Perhaps you could send a newsletter or ezine on a weekly basis up until your official launch date. Your prospects should be eagerly anticipating the next installment providing they are in your target market place for your offering. The point is, think about how you can build anticipation for your goods or services in your potential customers minds and you will accelerate your new sales.

In summary, remember, increase the value of your contribution if you wish to increase the value of your compensation and, remember also, the Golden Rule of selling, sell to others as you would have them sell to you!
